Ken and Rebecca Mackenzie (Dad and Mom), started in Red Angus in 1962, after being in the shorthorn breed which started in 1898 by Grandpa Mackenzie. In 2017 they decided to Retire to Golden BC, Leaving the Gough Family to continue on with the Legacy as the 4th Mackenzie Generation.
If you didn't catch us playing Basketball in the barn- getting ready for the barn dance and annual Female sale at the Mackenzie Homestead- then we were out chasing cows, or maybe playing a round of Golf !
When Dad- Ken Mackenzie said he was moving North, our Family packed up and moved with him. The Kids attended 4-H in Manning for 8 years and the Angus genetic itch started in the Next generation. Braydon and Kaily Gough are the 4th generation Mackenzie great -grandchildren to continue with the same top quality pioneer genetics. (Braydon is in background)
GOMACK Red Angus has worked alongside Mackenzie Red Angus since 2002. But since Dad (Ken Mackenzie) decided to retire to Golden B.C., we are working the herd at Whitelaw Alberta. Dad is no stranger to the farm, the only difference is he's not here to take a night shift!
GOMACK has the same high quality genetics that the "Mackenzie's" are all known for. We are maintaining that high quality selected breeding standard that you have come to appreciate from us. We appreciate our friends coming back year after year to support our Sales, because:
